Frida Kahlo

 

I was inspired to make this piece from this lovely blog, Art Journal Journey:  http://art-journal-journey.blogspot.com/2014/08/082014-frida-kahlo.html  They post monthly challenges, and I thought I would give it a try!

The prompt for August was Frida Kahlo and instead of drawing her, I decided to pick a quote from her.  I did not realize how many wonderful sayings she had!

Background was made with the Gelli Pad. Doodles with gel pens, microns, and Sharpies.

    This is such a great quote page ... love this whimsical heart that goes so pretty to all the elements and the color sheme matches so well with Frida's art... gorgeous Sarah!
